Top 10 books for 2022 (to date)

I’ve only read 25 books so far this year (though I have started MANY more) – my current goal is to get to 30 by New Years Eve. Currently I have Your Story Matters by Nikesh Shukla and Desert Star by Michael Connelly on deck.

It was a weird year for my reading – it started off great but then I had some weirdness with my eyes that ended up with varifocals that I am only getting the hand of a couple of months later. When I was in Miami/Austin and then InterRailing reading was basically a non starter with my specs on.

Anyway despite all of that the books I have read have been really great – and my return to physical books has felt lovely (even if it is causing space issues!)

This is my top 10 for the year to date →

Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow – Gabrielle Zevin

City on Fire – Don Winslow

Leave the Gun, Take the Cannoli: The Epic Story of the Making of The Godfather – Mark Seal

Spray Nation: 1980s NYC Graffiti Photos – Martha Cooper

My Body – Emily Ratajkowski

The Kaiju Preservation Society – John Scalzi

Heat 2 – Michael Mann

I’m Sorry I Love You – Jim Smallman

The Boy from the Woods – Harlan Coben

All the Marvels – Douglas Wolk
