Vacancy description

As the Senior Press Officer you will support the Chief Press Officer in protecting and promoting the reputation of the MRC, taking responsibility for a portfolio of topics and issues.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have substantial previous experience of working within a press environment. Ideally you will have a background in science, journalism or policy and will have worked in a scientific, media or health press office.

As well as excellent oral and written communication skills, you will be skilled in stakeholder engagement and have the ability to build effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
